I'm not so old school that I can claim Tim DeBoom and Scott Molina as training partners, but I did do my first IM five seasons ago. Now it seems every other person I meet is training for a tri and they absolutely must have an carbon-ti Italian groupo with full carbon deep dish and disc wheels and titanium frame - to finish mid-pack - and then complain about entry fees.
